Identification details 150 D-LD


Version I 1954-mid-1955 Handlebar in aluminium, electrical system without battery and without current rectifier, 14mm gudgeon pin, cylindrical power socket at flywheel, 3notch gear shift, smooth starter casing (small bush on the cover of the last examples from mi-1955), silencer with chromed expansion box.

150 LD only: beige plastic air vent grilles on side panels.

Version II 1955-mid-1956 Electrical system with battery and rectifier, starter casing with three-screw cover, silencer with chromed expansion box, rear damper location (less inclined).

150 LD only: beige plastic air vent grilles on side panels.

Version III mid-1956-end of production Silencer without expansion box and with two brass inspection caps, 16mm gudgeon pin, additional oil vent on final drive, quadrangular power socket at flywheel attached with a screw, control cables with lubricators at steering head, cylinder air manifold with central crest for the attachment screws, chromed steel handlebar, 5-notch gearshift, additional left-hand screw on the rear hub nut.

150 LD only: bump-stops with screws supporting the side panels, larger levers on the panels, side panel air vent grilles in chromed metal.

Version I to mid-1955 Silencer with chromed expansion box, beige plastic air vent grilles on side panels, 3-notch gearshift, floorboard runners with rubber inserts ( as on the 150 LD), HT coil inside the flywheel magneto ( earliest examples only).

Version II mid-1956-end of production Silencer without exoansion box and with two brass inspection caps, side panel air vent grilles in chromed metal, 5-notch gearshift, chomed steel handlebar,cvontrol cables with lubricators, cylinder air manifold with central crest for the attachment screws

Model destined for the Swiss market. In effect a 150 D reduced to 125 CC; the only aesthetic differences concern the elimination of the front 150D script. Engine specification identical to the 125 LD derivata.

Attention! Note towards mid-1954 cadmium plating (similar to white zinc was introduced in place of nickel plating. This new treatment was adopted once the stock of nickel-plated material was exhausted; it is therefore possible to find 1954-55 Lambrettas with both nickel- and plate-plated parts.
